Is there one avalible?

litfan - 2011-08-17 07:57

There`s the dodgy, agentorange price guide .

- 2011-08-17 08:02

No !  However there is/was & maybe still available a [[[ Boombox Database ]]]Manufactured by a Member on here called  ( TPR ) I think the last version of it was ( 4.0 )  it is a {{{ dvd  }}} of all of the Boombox's ever seen in the world !!!! dated till a few month's ago....

This DVD Would be a Interesting Item to GET about Boombox's as it shows lots of AKA's and other pertinent information

online price guide - there are books out there - that you can buy/purchase but they arent worth too much ...

radio.raheem - 2011-08-17 08:05

If you have vista james or anything newer the bbdb will sadly not work..

yes i know as i have 'it' and I when installing 'it' i tried to change the directory for it to install in ... and that made it a failed installation & it inserted too much cr*p into the registry of 'unknown' stuff into my win98se machine and I just simply have not gotten around to re-installing win98se on a new hard-drive just to see this dvd - and I was sent a second copy as it was thought that the first copy was bad - it wasnt - twas just the way 'it' was designed to install....tooo much protection's in the installation of the dvd software....  So we have moved onward without this HUGE bit of information ....

Ol Litfan was pulling you're leg saga

sega - 2011-08-17 09:24

Fair enough lol

litfan - 2011-08-17 11:35

Yeah. You can`t go wrong with a valuation like £26.47p, can you?

ghettoman - 2011-08-17 11:59

i got one laptop with Xp,and another Dual core lappy with vista,i'de love to get Xp on the dual core one,it would be even more rapid than it is now..

As for a online price guide,i just dont think you could pinpoint the value on any particular box, because different people are willing to pay different prices,so boxes like on ebay can sell for allsorts ..

davebush - 2011-08-17 12:23

agree with beanieman.....a box is only worth what someone on a particular day is willing to pay for it....example.....iv seen sharp gf-8989 sell for £100 on the bay.........a couple of weeks later iv seen the 8989 sell for 99p........you just cant tell at all

sega - 2011-08-17 12:27

Fair enough, I was just hoping to find something so I dont get screwed over.

As to computers Ive got a quad core gaming tower we built in 2008 using XP and then this laptop which is single core and likely to catch fire.

bendycat - 2011-08-17 13:20

from what i have seen on prices of ebay boxes, it seems to be up and down for the same box each week

it's hard to know what price to ask on a site as if you lok at ebay one box can reach £210 one day and the next it can be £135 for the same box ?

i guess it depends on hopw many are on there at the time and what the flavour seems (still M70 month at the mo )

you could put up a thread asking members on what they think a box is worth if you are selling else where like ebay or so

would love one of the disc with all the info on it but since it doesn't work on any thing to new it's a shame - and sorry price is a big thing as well

cheers B

I think what we need is something like toymart but with info about the item too, toymart is a price guide that alters with the fluctuations on the market for vintage toys.

Sadly thats above my means as I can put a computer together, I can fix minor problems with the OS and I can play some games fairly well but I cant tell software what to do, I even only managed to get as far as putting 'I like boobies' into an infinate loop on an old ZX spectrum +2.

Right as for the gaming tower, you and raheem should talk,he's into his mad computers, think he's got 4 graphic cards in his at £400 each ect..

As for your single core lappy, when you say its nearly setting on fire, thats exactly the same as mine, mines a acer,2.8Ghz celeron,750mb ram,it did have 512 but i shoved some more in hoping it would speed it up,frackin ell i could put 24gb in the thing and it would'nt speed it up much..its slllloooow and gets hot,but i got a big pc fan, wired it up to 12v,and sat it next to the lappy, keeps it cool but it does'nt go any quicker..

My other is a Toshiba L350,3gb ram,2.1Ghz Cpu x2,160gb hard drive,17" screen, its a big huge thing..its quick but i dont want to use it just for browsing the internet, its too good for that,i prefure to save it for particular jobs like converting movies..use my heap of an acer for browsing, hey this acer will be great in winter as my bedroom get freezing, this lappy with take the chill off lol...
