Don't restrict your search to just this model; I bought a CRS4800 a couple of months ago from ebay (when there were a couple of others such as you seek on at the same time.) It is absolutely gobsmackingly brilliant. I am not parting with it for anything before you ask but thought you should know that as far as I have been able to establish, these Marantz machines are superb. I got mine for £26 and it is dusty but perfect! So much sound from a mid sized box....

You are right nick. The crs-4000, range, sound very nice indeed. They are also, very well made. Is yours the one, with tape slot on the side?
