JVC remote R-30E

cman750 - 2012-12-27 18:03

I hit the jackpot this week finding buying a remote for my RC M90  RC M80 RC M60 still in the box with the original plastic wrapping on it .  My question is did JVC make other remotes for these machines ? I recall buying my RC M90 in August 1983 for $632 .00 CDN ... and wishing I purchased the remote at the same time....now I finally have it ....works great !

ps: the end is a din plug ...

Curious is it the same as the model I found ?

cman750 - 2013-01-11 13:01

I just realized , this remote operates the PC5 , wonder if it will operate the PC 55 ?

deliverance - 2013-01-11 13:10

it could well be used on a pc-55 .

here's my remote that i got from chriss

redbenjoe - 2013-01-12 07:06

i had a few // sold a few --

forget the model numbers ... but plenty of JVC component tape decks

had the identical din pin set-up --they were more common with the remotes

than any boomboxes were..

and they DO run the m90, etc perfectly

the complete ( deck & remote ) units i bought were off usa ebay -

for about US$60

I don't think the 55 has a DIN jack to accept a wired remote

HI Ira

I'd be interested in one if you've got one for sale or if you know the other compatible  numbers for the M90 I could search one out. I know of the 15E (hard as hell to find) are there many others?

Thanks Caveman.

Interesting to see that the 71 (turntable) remote can operate the M90 and other DIN jack boomboxes!

ya   same layout as r-30e  same inside  just a different  words  on case    hard to fins as well

nickfish - 2014-09-22 04:56

It's true. I bought a turntable with a boxed remote a few months ago for just £20. Probably won't use it but it's nice to have.

michiel - 2014-09-22 14:26

I also saw jvc remotes with an extra pin in the din, so you have watch out. They were for video or something.

cman750 - 2014-09-22 16:26

I posted  videos of the remote operating both the Turntable L-F71 and the my PC 5 AND RC M90 ...the controls work well .
