Having bagged those there would be no way I'd get rid of either!

choose the super jumbo then you can sell the clairtone to me

Well, here are pics of each box and the condition they are in:
Clairtone is missing the usual suspects: tape storage drawer and lower tape player door. It also has a broken foot. Neither tape player works, but all knobs, switches, aerials, and the battery door are accounted for and original.
The J1 is not missing any parts but only works when it is plugged in. Not too sure what is wrong, but fresh batteries don't seem to do the trick so it stays tethered. Neither tape player works on this one either.

Hey there TBomb i own both The clairtone in great shape the superjumbo not so as cassette's need belt's but either way would not part with them if you have other box's i would consider them first as the two are highly sought after and hard to come by.

no choice, if possible ...
I want both this box
cholo1 - 2013-02-11 19:19
it depends on if you realy use them, i mean when you are using one or the other do you enjoy one better then the other??
I prefer the 7980, it just sound better and love to take out to the park...the J1 m=not so crazy about it...i enjoy as much the Lasonics 975-935 then the J1.
But thats me, you should sell one and invest in repairing the other
regards

Thanks for all your input guys! Looks like I'm keeping the Clairtone. Unfortunately, that means I'll be saying goodbye to my J1 SuperJumbo. Hopefully it will find a good home with someone who will appreciate it for what it is.

I would keep the Claritone for resale value, you know, just in case.
