New Snickers Mr.T Commercial

Does anyone know that this boombox is? At first I thought it was a Toshiba RT-200, but it looks like it could be an AKA. It has a few differences: square tweeter grilles (the Toshiba has round ones), the handle is attached to the box differently, and the top half is silver whereas the Toshiba's is grey.

Here's the RT-200 for comparison...

CIT: About the Toshiba RT-200S...

The sound is good. Not outstanding. The stereo imaging is nice with 'real' tweeters, but the bass response is not too great and there is only a tone control instead of separate bass and treble controls. Apparently there is a loudness contour on the volume control, but I like tons of bass and this isn't enough!

I thought it was interesting to note the lack of a balance control, since this was mentioned in another topic as being a fairly useless control, and this model lacks it!

The auto reverse and everything else on the tape deck is working perfectly, including the two sequential 5-LED tape direction indicators for forward/reverse. The head is a two-track unit that spins 180° to play the reverse side of a cassette.

Amazing they put all the attention into the cassette, 4 band tuner, 4 speaker system and left out bass, treble and balance controls. Still a nicely styled radio.----------
