So, the with the boombox media revolution in apparent full swing, McDonalds looks to be fully on board! This commercial had three different boomboxes. My wife saw it first and brought it to my attention. She even grabbed the TIVO remote and cued up the shots for me take the pics for posting here. How cool is she, eh?

Anyway, can anyone name all three of these?

1st Box - Lasonic, maybe?


2nd Box - Looks to me like a GE?


2nd Box again, a tad later in commercial


3rd Box - partial shot of a GE mini?

Yeah, the box in the 1st picture is definitely a 2nd edition Lasonic TRC-931.


I know nothing of those other 2 boxes tho.

Still, it looks like a great commercial boombox-wise!

I'm happy they used an old school Lasonic vs. the new i931.

The i931 got its 15 mins of fame via the AT&T "techno twins" commercial.

I think the second one is a GE or maybe a Panasonic.

I'm pretty sure the last one is a GE mini. I will figure this out eventually...

The second one is a Sanyo M9935.

Like they're trying to imbed itself in some kind of culture.

And who the hell calls a peice of grissle on a bun with onion bits, mustard and ketchup a hamburger.
