If you're into sneakers, that article may be of some interest to you.

Else here are a few selected pics only Smile

I'm a little confused. Is this new or vintage stuff. All the pictures look like vintage 80s. Cool find either way! Smile

Cheers Fatdog, actually the Sneakerfreaker article is a full on interview with the guy who designed the Troop shoes (which later became SPX).
These sneakers are a real blast from the past, and I think the company behind these 2 brands stopped its activities in the early 90's !
They were big in the hip hop scene at that time ... Along with the Patrick Ewing (33) brand, they were the biggest in hype, bling, and dimensions ! They've been rumored to make a come back soon. But apart from a couple of new models in 2003, Troop and SPX didn't meet the expectations of the sneaker freaks who really want the old series back Nod Yes

By the way, if anyone comes across a decent pair of Troop / SPX / Ewing please let me know, I'm always looking out to some new addition to my collection !!!

But back on the boombox affair, it's funny to see the design of the SPX shoe box ... I don't know this baby but it's nice ! Anyone knows if they got inspired by an existing model, or if they designed it especially for the shoe box ?

Hey thanks for the links beatbox !
I knew this article on Sneakerfinder but I didn't know the one from Crookedtongues ... Wicked Smile

But although I had saved searches on the word "troop" in eBay.fr, it seems that if you search in other eBay sites, say eBay.com, you don't come across same results. Well generally yes, but eBay.com tends to have more results ... This I didn't know !

I'll have to refine my searches hehehe

I don't know, I'm not so keen on Troop either, but I do like the Major Low in the bottom ad. Nice lines.

Close, R.A. The word you're thinking of is "knickers." Wink
