Impossible-to-recognize boombox in 1987 music video

3malick - 2012-12-18 13:57

Hi, i remember i saw a boombox in this video...you can see it at 0:58 (the little girl adjusting the radio tuner), but just the back of it, and at 3:47 it s possible to see it from the front, while the two boys are dancing...

it s from 1987, classic mid80's italian song...hard challenge but i know you can recognize it!!!!

Good guess, but not an M9990- that model has many more buttons on the top of the radio than the one in the video.

It reminds me of a lower end Hitachi by the way it looks. Guess on fellow members!

Kind of looks like a Hitachi TRK-8020 Or 8000.

Take a look at the top panel, yes it's not clear,

but we can say for sure, this radio has (from left to right)

2 rotary knobs__1 toggle siwtch__6 tape buttons with rounded corners__2 toggle switches with wide tips.

These wide switch knobs - very specific detail.

Even there are a lot of similar looking boxes - there are only two boxes with the same knobs shape and layout - Sanyo M4100 (M9920)  and M4200 (M9925) - in fact they are the same box, but different model number.

There are a lot of variants of the color schemes of this model, for different countries, so most likely it's a one of the Sanyo M4100/M4200, or it's clone.

Sanyo M-9925

Sanyo M-4100K
