It's too CHEAP don't be a fool your giving it away

brutus442 - 2012-03-09 11:02

Maybe I'm missing something but the box was opened to verify it's working correct?

So where's the manual, guarantee, and other placards that JVC INCLUDES in the packing??

Somethings not right here....it's impressive but.....

I was discussing this with my dad and he raised those exact same issues. If it was genuinely MIB and first openned for pics/testing, then all of those should be present. No manual on a brand new unit? Come on...

I was simply taken away when I read they openned it to test. What a waste.

If I were to have bought such a unit, openning it would have been the greatest thrill of the ownership for me.

That was the first thing i notice when it showed up on ebay the other day.... If it was never opened it should have the owners manual, original warranty card ect...

The box was obviously opened before because otherwise the owners manual ect...would be there.

get in the queue for the m90 son

in my eyes this radio is not worth that much, maybe just half that price,  and the box has half of that .

mrupscale1 - 2012-03-11 17:30

The unit is worth up to $500 and the box is worth another $100-$200 this is my personal opinion. I had one as a teenager and have one now. And that is only if all the papers are present. The true value is sentemental and thats only if they are willing to pay for a memory. Great sounding unit i must say!!! Someone may pay the $1499 but its a longshot.

chris69 - 2012-03-11 17:40

Driptip is 100% correct. It's a $500.00 max boombox and the original box is worth 50% more max so they are asking twice what it's worth.

i have an m80 in great condition with ad sticker on deck door but with one ariel tip missing and deck running slow. i think this one is way over priced and if i was to sell mine i would ask maybe around £150, it sounds really good especially the highs but lacks a little on bass. still it's a nice looking box and has a great tuner on board. to me it sounds a little like a sharp gf 555, but looks a lot nicer. looking to trade it for something of similar value, no used socks or low energy light bulbs or anything else of similar value will be accepted, so please bear this in mind if you should make me an offer

claret.badger - 2012-03-12 05:29

underpants and a Ski black cherry yoghurt?

chris69 - 2012-03-12 06:31

The only one i can think of is DM4U who had a boxed M70 but he wanted crazy money, something like $4000.00 i believe. That's about $3000.00 more than it's worth. Did he sell that thing i wonder?

reli - 2012-03-26 12:59

Un-boxed M70's seem to go for $350-400 here in the US, if they're in good shape.  So, I could see a new-in-box one for $1,000 being "justified".  But an M80 for $1,000?   I guess if someone really likes it........But it doesn't sound as good as an M70.
