WTB ~ 4 wire cassette deck motor for Wheely! Others may fit!

blufuz - 2010-06-30 10:49

The cassete motor is stuck on high in my Dynasty Wheely. If you are parting a wheely or another BBX that has the same 4 wire motor, please help ASAP.

Hopefully I can get something soon.

Help if you can, thanks! - JOE

You should post up the PART NUMBER of the motor itself, you haven't really told anyone anything useful. Box is "rare" enough as it is, most will not be able to help you. But since the same motor TYPE is common across many other BBX's, you'll have a better chance of someone being able to help you out in your replacement request.

I don't have any of that information. This is all I know right now:

Might be 15volts. Also, it has a capstan on the left and right.

You could probably pull a motor out
from an black egg box.
Motor would be quite common.
At least an egg is good for something. Smile

Part number is on the lable on the motor.
also a CCW or CW mark would be on it.

I don't have any eggs to just pull parts from. I can only rely on what you guys have or have seen in other boxes. These last few guys parting out wheelies don't ever respond after they make their inital listing or I would have had the correct part already.

I have this picture too if it helps:

A better picture is needed. Are there other labels on the motor that talks about voltage or direction?

See if you can photo all sides of the motor, that pic I dare say is worthless at this point.

Ask and you shal receive:

I found this in some guys flicker account:

I also called Sanko directly and left a message. Maybe they have something somewhere :hmmm:

I have 2 4 wire motors here both working. You need to measure the voltage at the motor terminals before you replace the motor, or you will wind up putting the wrong motor in- the highest motor voltage I have seen in many a boombox is a JVC RC 838 that had 13.2-- most others are 12 volt or 9 volt- check the terminal voltage and post it here.FYI- on the rear of the motor is an adjustment for fine motor speed- in my experience spraying some deoxit or wd 40 in there then gently turning the adjuster with a small flat jewelers screwdriver will fix the problem- try it and don`t turn too hard or you will break the adjuster..

Thank you for the tips for checking the motor. I passed on the info you just posted to the person working on my box. Hopefully I can chime in and get you some info before my box is on its way back home.

system rail voltage -- 17.28 volts, when powered by AC

Motor is most likely 15v but with no schematics it's hard to know 100%.

This box takes 10 D batteries.

Regardless of taking 10 "D" cells the motor needs to be measured while in play mode, at the terminals. Then you know exactly what voltage motor you are looking for. Just about any will do, just get the voltage and post your findings here.

^^^^^^^

I will just wait for a wheely motor, thanks though.

Just checking in, still need the motor.
