Hi,

Does anybody have a copy of the Aiwa CS-M1 Owner / Service Manual to sell or pdf that can be emailed to me?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I managed to come right without the manual. I bought an Aiwa CS-M1 Stereo Micro Cassette "Boombox". It had a problem where the Battery LED didn't work. The Radio also wouldn't play in FM Stereo (only Mono) and the FM Stereo LED also didn't come on. When I recorded from the Radio I would get motor whine coming through the speakers as well.

Whoever replaced the belts didn't tight the screw marked with the green arrow properly causing the Battery LED (this screw grounds the LED board to the main board) not to work as well as the motor whine coming from the speakers when recording from the radio.

When I opened it up I noticed that the Antenna Wire was twisted on by hand and not properly soldered in the correct place. I soldered the antenna to the correct location marked with the yellow arrow. This however didn't fix the FM Stereo issue. I had to adjust the pot marked with the green arrow to the left 5 degree. Now it plays FM Stereo perfectly.

I paid quite a bit for this Mini Boombox and now I'm really happy that it is working properly. I seem to have had a bit of luck with this one.
