sinister - 2008-03-29 18:25

so kittmaster is working on a lasonic 935 for me and i need 1 motor. here is the part # eg-500yd-9f plz let me know if you have one to spare. thanx Cool

redbenjoe - 2008-03-29 18:32

send a pm to danny

appleknocker - 2008-03-29 18:39

I think I have one - the white sticker on the top is partly rubbed off - but it says EG-50 before it becomes unreadable. On the side it says P NO. 223752. It comes out of a 935

sinister - 2008-03-29 18:41

apple do you have a 2 motor version or 1

appleknocker - 2008-03-29 19:21

I think it is a two motor version - does this mean 1 motor for each tape deck? 2 motors total? This is what I have - each tape deck has it's own motor.

sinister - 2008-03-29 19:28

i need the right side deck motor if your looking @ it from the inside. does it have any ###'s on it.

appleknocker - 2008-03-29 19:44

It has those numbers I listed above post. It's the left side motor I think, but it doesn't seem like that should matter. I got this 935 for parts and on the inside it is a jumbled up mess - this tape deck was just hanging there, but it seems to fit in the left side tape deck spot (looking at it from the inside). But it looks like it should still fit on the right one too unless they run in different directions or something. It is just held on to the deck by small phillips screws.

kittmaster - 2008-03-29 19:48

looking from the back of the radio, it is the right side deck. One deck has a CCW motor (left motor) and one deck as a CW motor......the right one.....which is what is needed. It is a 9V 4000 RPM motor CW motor.....

success - 2008-03-30 16:54

4000 RPM ... a rare one !!!

What about the one you have ?.
Can you fix it ?. I know it's better to start with a new one ... but you can change the mechanical body (is the same of a 2400 ?) or fix the electronics inside ... Leaving
I've never fixed a motor ...

kittmaster - 2008-03-30 17:04

I wish I could but the traces on the motor are ripped up or completely damaged. No way to reattach the wires and maintain stability.

Normally I wouldn't ask for a part if there was any other option.

sinister - 2008-03-30 17:41

appleknocker do you have a pic of the one you have.

success - 2008-03-30 18:31

Ok. I don't know much more about DC motors, because I only replace they. Any chance of using a 2400 and changing some value ...

not in this case........Frown

success - 2008-03-30 20:08

Ok ...
If I were you, and don't fixes appear, let think in some MCU based speed controler for the next project. This would match every mecha and improve stability ... with some feedback

Pedro

Ah yes.......but who would buy it.....it would not be cheap to build.....I would most likely sell as many of those as my remotes.

success - 2008-03-31 09:37

Your remote project is so nice. I alway liked to built something like that.
But they are custom designs, like the motor I told you ... Anyway I would built it ...

success - 2008-03-31 17:43

A take a motor from a double cassette deck with high speed dubbing ...
To my suprise says ...,

EG430YD-9B 2000-4000 RPM CCW ... It's a two-speed motor ... I'm guessing if a two speed motor would help ... This one seems to be adjustable from 2000 to 4000 (a wide range)
I don't if know stability at 4000 RPM is good enough to avoid flutter ...

kittmaster - 2008-03-31 20:08

if you could PM sinister to see what he wants to do.....its for him....Smile

sinister - 2008-03-31 20:23

will it work kitt?

kittmaster - 2008-03-31 21:02

hard to say, I guess we can try it, but without schematics its a crap shoot. Does it say what voltage it is? Must be 9V according to the sticker.....and I believe CW rotation.....need to verify that.

hey success what do you want for the motor. let me know.

success - 2008-04-01 09:56

No No No, I'm not trying to sell you a motor ... only help to search a solution ...
In fact, this motor is very used. Perhaps still works. It was from a cheap radio recorder.
I'm sure that you can find this one since it's a generic motor from Mabuchi.
I you fail finding it, I would send it to you free (only shipping ... I don't want money for it) , but the radio was out of use for several years I not sure if it works properly.
Also is CCW instead a CW, sou you need to invert inside cutting some traces.
I'll ask here at electronic shops if they sell it brand new. If I found it I tell you.
New one is around six dollars ... so I guees you wil preffer the new one ...

Pedro.

kittmaster - 2008-04-05 06:22

were do we stand on this?......any leads?

sinister - 2008-04-07 11:29

kittmaster - 2008-04-07 12:12
