VZ2000 needle belt

appleknocker - 2009-02-19 18:32

Does anyone have or know where to get (along with belt numbers?) the VZ -2000 belt that runs the needles? I already have the big belt that runs the turntable and I need the one for the needles. It seemed like I once saw maybe a whole VZ belt set was available? - thanks

Hi Appleknocker,

I use www.turntableneedles.com

The belt I ordered for mine was - SBS4.0 (4.0 Inch Square Belt, Small)

On the site you can search by manufacture and model and it will list parts.

Hey Allen, you can try

http://studiosoundelectronics.com/belts.htm

They have the 4" belt and it's only $1.05

SBS4.0 4.0 .046" (1.2mm) $1.05

The belt for the cassette motor and flywheel:

FBM11.5 11.5 .025" .18-.235 $1.40

On the same note does anyone know where I can get a Turntable belt for the Sharp VZ-3000 and Optonica, it has to be 29" long!

Hey James, the VZ-3000 shares the same size belt as the VZ-2000 and VZ-2500. It's 25"! Eek

There are plenty of places on the Internet selling the belts for $12 - $19. However, you can buy the belt at the website below, for only $2.90.

http://www.hbfelectronics.com/...earch_string=FBM25.0

I've ordered from them before and they ship pretty fast.

Studio Sound Electronics also carries the 25" belt (Part # Sharp VZ-2000/X/XA FTBM25.0), but I can't find a "Add to Cart" button for it.

Thanks a ton - guys!!
Fatdog, do you know if the cassette / flywheel belt will be the one that fixes FF & Rewind? My VZ cassette plays fine but won't FF or rewind Confused?
Or is there another belt/part for this fix?

You probably will need the 6" belt.

SBM6.0 6.0 .065" (1.65mm) $1.05 (@ Studio Sound Electronics)
