Sharp GF-5454 Internal Cassette Motor control switch

Is it possible anyone may have a junker deck for one of these which has this switch? As far as I can tell I can not fix this switch. In fact, I cant be sure what the switch looked like when it was intact. Its quite possible this deck was used on other Sharp models. Any help would be appreciated.

That looks intact that should be a mechanical switch that when play is depressed the white lever should push up against the copper slide to connect both slides, you should be able to clean between the slides with q-tip and alcohol

Theres a tab missing. If you look close, there is nothing high enough on the switch to engage the metal slide above. I found the broken tab inside the box floating around (one of them anyway). It broke off between the right connection and the side of the switch. It cannot be glued. IT will never hold.

OK It almost looks like the white pointed tab should be the lever Frown

its missing the top piece of plastic of the switch notice the metal bar thats above the switch,, thats what pushes the switch to the left,, the metal bar pushes against the plastic tab which is missing Nod Yes
