johnnygto - 2008-12-04 15:19

I'm new around here, so first and foremost HI!!! Big Grin

Second, I'm looking for a old GE 3-6035B in good condition. It was a childhood boombox memory - never owned one, but always wanted to Smile

If any of you know of one that is for sale please let me know. Thanks for reading.

redbenjoe - 2008-12-04 15:37

welcome to this good place, johnny --

if you are not stuck on that exact brand name --
i think (???) --there is also a prosonic and a goldstar version of that same box --

so - that could make your search a bit easier;

good luck -- its a beautiful box.

johnnygto - 2008-12-04 16:01

What is the prosonic model #? I have two 9962's (well one is on its way from Vlad. <-awesome guy)...

The GE had a digital tuner, there is one on youtube.. I posted a comment that I would buy if he wanted to sell.. no reply Frown

Thanks for replying... I really would like one.

here is your ge 3-6035 ::

also . sorry--i was WAY off on the AKA models for this box --you will soon learn to put me on your s2g ignore list !! Big Grin

johnnygto - 2008-12-04 17:41

It's the most beautiful boombox ever Smile

Dunno why, other than fond memories... but I love that box!! I did think it sounded great also...

Okay so who has one there willing to sell me???

please...please...please... Big Grin

redbenjoe - 2008-12-04 18:08

you might be in luck shortly --these are not wicked rare -- several per year on ebay --
good ones sell for only about 50 to 75 --
and --yes - they sound good

johnnygto - 2008-12-04 18:12

I hope so!

I really do like the way the GE's sound... I have some small ones that I rotate in my kitchen while I cook.. I have a SCR-8 that I believe is based on GE - it sounds pretty sweet Big Grin

There not exotic or super rare, but were portals to the music world!

Usually on ebay once or twice a month unless OpaIra has one to sell which is likely as he has one of most every model made.

ford93 - 2008-12-05 06:33

hey johnny --
lots of us --for good reasons- dont/wont post ongoing ebay listings on this site --

so - i sent you a PM last night-
did you see it ??
there is a BETTER version of this box up as of last night

find it // win it !!

good luck Smile

johnnygto - 2008-12-05 15:18

Well the 3-6000B looks okay, I think by the time it gets bid up to say $30-$40 and shipping and handling (handling a extra $10 Eek)

Hmm 40?Maybe?+ 40Shipping +10Handling = $90.00!

I'd rather have the 6035 for the money/or more money... dunno.

Thanks for the heads up though!

I know there is a 6035 around here somewhere for me Big Grin
