hi mate....hope alls well....best thing to do is either get bredgeo to make you one or use a cap off a hand cream tube and spray silver.......easy as 1 2 3

litfan - 2011-09-26 15:00

Have you got a pic of it. I still have a box of bits & bobs, knobs, switch covers, etc.

hey Litfan, the knob itself is completely broken and as such theres nothing to show really sorry!if its like the others its got a tall raised centre section on it to grip and turn with-if youve got anything like,id be much appreciated

The band selector knob from GF-6060 (6161,6262,6363) looks very similar, not sure about the size tho, probably it's a bit bigger.

...on the other hand GF-6060 family pretty common - easy to find.

cheers for the pic metad!thats the one,well-its the right box and everything but as i say the knob on mines all smashed up......you havent got a spare have you metad?i presume the pic is your own 353.....whats your thoughts on it?i love the sound of mine-lovely lows and crisp highs, great looking machine and built like a brick and not like a turd like todays offerings.....and i cant believe i turned down an sk909 two years ago because i didnt think it was bassy enough.....old bredgeo has that one now.....lucky fella

andyboombox - 2011-09-28 03:08

.....and i had a gf6060 that i scrapped last month.....dammit!!!!!

tone knobs from GF-8585 (also very common radio)

andyboombox - 2011-09-28 03:35

thanks again for the further pic!ive had two 8585s in the past too-i should have kept one just to get the knob off it!!!!ill have a good look tomorrow when im at the recycle centre to see if i can find something suitable off something in there-i do spot loads of old pioneer cassette decks etc from the same period as the 353 so you never know-if i de-knob them all im bound to come accross something of use...........perhaps!

Yes, you need to find suitable substitute, cause it's hard to get exact knob from SK-353, fortunately there are plenty of boxes with very similar knobs, a lot of cheap Hitachi's have that kind of knobs, Sanyo M9996, 9998,...a lot of boxes...good luck.

yes!they match alright!have you still got them?

electron1100 - 2011-10-05 10:23

Hello it is only the one function select knob i just took 4 pictures of it so you could see it from different angles, as i say it came off Pioneer SK-353, that was in too poor visual  condition to resurect
