CLARETONE 7980 parts needed (where can I get them?)

outdoorsygal - 2011-11-20 20:40

I am wondering if anyone can tell me where I can get parts for my Claretone 7980 boombox (Ghetto blaster)?  I need idler wheels and belts for both tape decks.  I do not want to have to buy another unit (just for parts) in case it does not work either and has parts just as old!

I live in Central Ontario Canada.

Please tell me if you know where I can get these parts - I have asked online before on different sites, facebook, and emails and no one responds unless they tell me to check with electronic stores, which of course do not have these parts.  CLARETONE is no longer apparently....

PLEASE HELP!  This is very frustrating and all I want is to be able to play tapes again in my awesome unit!

Thanks!

dont remember which thread on here that tells of a way to rebuild the idler wheels - but - there is a way to rebuild your original idler wheels.

Searching for the Conion C-100f belts for your's as the clairtone is the Canada version of the Conion C-100F - it's just branded as a Clairtone!

SBS 8.9 for tape one Conion C-100F and tape counter = you will need Two Belts.

FBM 9.6 for deck ONE Conion C-100F

SBS 10.0 For deck TWO Conion C-100F
