Sanyo 9922L bits required

nak.d - 2012-07-01 08:52

I'm restoring a Sanyo 9922L and require the plastic window that covers the tuning area. A long shot I know but if anyone can help it would be appreciated. Also the correct belt size would be very helpful (not taken it to bits yet, hope it's an easy one to change). An aerial would also be good!

You can find a couple of spare parts on here

https://www.chsinteractive.co...._parts/sanyo/M9922L/

not that much, but at least an original pinch roller (which is always good to replace) and one of the original belts.

they also have aerials for other Sanyo models, but maybe you can find suitable one, cause many of boxes, from the same manufacturer, share exactly the same aerials.

Thanks Metad; great little site and I notice you pre-filled the selection to take me straight there to my model, thanks . I guess getting the replacement window can only come from a parts box. When that's done got to sort out the left channel as that's DOA. Maybe just a wire loose...

You're welcome Nak D yes, it seems like there is no other source for the window but donor box.

here is the pic of the M9924LU, the front is different, but as you may see it has the same layout on the top, the same switches and controls. It also has a single needle VU meter and FM indicator. I'm pretty sure this box identical to yours, except design of the front panel (and maybe radio bands, and voltage selector).

It's like 9500K and 9500LU -  from the first sight you will never say they are identical.

Metad, this is great info! Thanks so much. So hopefully parts may be available from another box. Is the first BBX yours? Looks really nice and well made.

No, radio from the first pic is not mine, just a picture.

I forgot to mention, that also M9923 looks like 9924, but a bit different color scheme, I have no pic at the moment. So, parts may be available from three models, I hope this will help you

Thanks Deliverance, thought I'd use the Nagel version rather than the full album cover per se.
