I am looking for sony cfd- 5 ,anyone have one for sale?

I know there is a few , on .stereo2go., I feel that someone want to sell me one

Oooh, me too, sadly they don't come round very often.  As you know it's the first boombox to feature a CD

I think that the cfd 5 by Sony is a really nice machine !

It looks and must sound good.

Must have been a VERY EXPENSIVE box originally to purchase.  Would guess it uses the Sony D-50/D-5/D55T  first generation PCDP transport no anti skip sadly so its a CD use only when stationary.   Definitely impressive looking box and bet sound is very high quality.  A most collectible BBX but its rarity and First CD BBX must have the value really out of reach to pay for now in current inflated market.  Good luck.

You might check into the Panasonic Platinum series although made I think 90 or so yet still retains generally boxey classic look.  Truly best quality sounding BBX I have and many would agree one of best of all BBX although does not blast loud.  Even has duel Dac converters rare on BBX unit.  Pick up for under $100 USD on ebay usually.  

I have a cfd-5.......it took me 3 years to finally get one.....there like hens teeth.....

Sound is fair....it has apm speakers

mine needs tape deck belts and a general service......

ok, I see cfd- 5 is a long shot, but what about hitachi trk-cd3 with a cd player?

probably just as rare i would think, you do like the illusive boxes don't you

I am collecting only boomboxes with a cd player, made in 89-89', I am not interested in cassette boxes

I can get you a cheap Sony cfd-5, but it is missing speaker wires, power cord, and rear speaker wire bracket wrap around chipped on 1 speaker.

Hi, it was at an estate sale I attended on saturday.
