Need help with Philips D8734 (spares parts)

Hi everybody,

After a short research, I've noticed I'm not the only one complaining about teethed wheel in Philips D8734. Unfortunally, in both deck A & B, the piece number 77 (as shown in the manual service) in the cassette mechanism has been blown into pieces. I don't know why does philips dosen't use the same white plastic material for this par too.cThs kind of orange glass is too fragile. I've even tried to glue it, but with every manupilation, another part is broken.

So anyone who has an old mechanism for sell or the whole boombox, can you please give a second life for these two tape deck.

Hi! I have the this boombox, with two replacement cassette deck complete mechanism assemblies.I had the same problem as you.I obtained the replacement parts from another stereo2go member free.I removed the original mechanisms but have not gotten round to fitting the replacements & probably never will as i have moved on to other things. You can have any or all the items if you wish.Contact me with your suggestions as to how to accomplish this!  The boombox is in very good cosmetic condition and i cleaned all controls & switches ,it was then working great until one deck failed with the same problem you have.If the replacements were fitted it would be a nice complete working boombox.

If interested let me know thoughts regards the above.
