eBayer lynnmblou2012: worth a swerve, it seems...

isolator42 - 2012-09-27 06:03

eBayer lynnmblou2012 posted their first ever sale auction for a Hitachi CX-W400.

I'm usually cautious about newbies on eBay & establish eBay-message contact to convince myself the seller is genuine (usually a question about packing). However, this boomer is rarer than rocking-horse poo (I have never seen one before or since), so I went for an opening bid & totally failed to send any message to back it up.

The auction ran it's course & as the only bidder, I won. I paid immediately via Paypal.

Then? Nothing. Not a sausage.

Paypal payment tells me the sellers name & hotmail email address, so I try it.

The auction has none of the usual scammer hallmarks, so I wait.

Eventually, after many fruitless attempts to communicate, I contact eBay & the give me the money back.

I have yet to get a single word of communication from the seller. Strange.

This is the first time I have ever left negative feedback on eBay...

Here's the auction:

Seller probably died following prolonged exposure to what has to be the ugliest boombox in town.

You're talking to a guy with a Fiat Multipla as our family car.

Ugly consumer goods are clearly no sort of problem for me...

I've had a couple of those, they're pretty annoying especially when you've sold something and the tosser doesn't pay, ignores all forms of communication... then their addresses 'change' occasionally their names too!

Hope you get your money back soon, Iso.

eBay ruled in my favour straight away, so I got the money back fast. I think I've found the seller on Facebook, so I've sent her a message to see if she still has it boomer to sell. As I say, it seems more like the eBay thing was forgotten rather than anything sinister, so I'm persevering
