aiwa HS-PX747Mk11

Hello all. Just got me an aiwa HS-PX747Mk11. Paid 15 pound for it on ebay. Absolutely mint. Okay, so it's not as cool as some of the earlier aiwa machines, but the sound is flawless in my opinion. Multi sound processor. LCD remote. All in a really cool highly polished silver casing. I have quite a few JX models, but none have the same sound quality as this baby. Very happy with it indeed.

PX747 has something called anti-modulation system. I don't know if it was the selling point for it or not, but it is one of the reasons it sounds good. The technology was developed by Aiwa and employed in the early 90s cassette decks. It puts an extreme force on the cassette case reducing modulation that would otherwise occur and delivering more stable and precise sound. I don't know about the head it is using though. It might be an amorphous head.

I have had a PX477 with the multi sound processor. It was quite good and fun to use it. The sound was rather hissy though.

Some pics and specs if you have the manual would really help!

There is no mention of the head being amorphous. I would guess its just a standard head. It did not come with its manual. As far as posting pictures is concerned, i do not know how its done. I have uploaded pictures onto ebay, is it as simple to do on this site?
