new member here. Can you tell me about the ex-506, oddly I don't see it on any of the Walkman links provided here?
I was wondering what years they were made, any particular problems with that model, or any other useful info.

WM-EX506 is a nice unit and it came out around 1999 I think. I'd need to check the catalog. It has a nice button layout and several handy features - like repeat, music search and blank skip. Has auto reverse of course and tape selector. But offly enough, it didn't feature dolby B like it's predecessor - the WM-EX505. how much did you pay for it and did it come boxed?

I paid $50 for it on ebay. Needed some deoxIT on the volume knob, then I cleaned heads/demagnetized/rubber rejunvenated, and it sounds pretty good.
Unfortunately I currently have a small case of walkman addiction. I have a lot of cassettes, and I used to have a sports walkman that I was often listening to....
