Look at the state of that thing: look s as if it's been through a complete cycle in my washing machine!

To be honest, if i had the cash i would probably purchase this one. It is very rare. What i cannot understand, is why the seller didn't look after it. Most of these things never see the light of day.

If I were going to pay that much for it, I would want it to be in perfect condition I.e. no scratches etc.

Now that German one is more like, in terms of condition.

For this kind of money, I would buy it only if my life depended on that purchase!! In every other case, it is completely INSANE!! He can sell it to his grandmother.

Got one in perfect condition for $1200 two years ago, this one beat up, if the picture shows it, then it's going to look worst when you receive it, not worth the cost.

So are they exactly same models? The one listed on ebay UK doesn't come with a wooden box. I was wondering why.

Yes and no.

The internals are the same. The more expensive one is silver and limited to 250 units and the less expensive one is silver plated and limited to 2000 units. The difference being the casing.

It’s like those iPods you see which are diamond encrusted and made by some companies, they are the same as your regular iPods just a different case.

True - the 701T is scratched to peices (maybe it belonged to Mel Gibson or some other celebrity who likes chucking things around!) but being limited to only 250 compared to the 701S 2,000 wouldn't that make it a lot more valuable?
Still - that's a LOT of scratches!
