this personal stereo dolby system and has an fm tuner pack that goes into the cassette player. Does anybody know where I can get one and about how much it would cost me? Thanks

Hello Missy, one of my focus areas of collecting is the Walkman with a tuner cassette module. I have 41 now. You will need to share with us the model number of the Walkman player for us to give you idea of how hard it will be to find the FM tuner pack. Toshiba made many models using several different tuner packs. You can view them at the following link , scroll down to middle of page to see the pictures of just tuner packs.

My Toshiba Collection

Major mfg. with tuner packs would be Toshiba, Sanyo, Sony, Akai, Sharp, Aiwa, KLH, Unitech and Unisef. These were made mostly from 81 to 85. Sadly the tuner cassette over time is usually lost. They are very hard to find just the FM tuner module but sometimes they show up on Ebay. As for price can better tell you once we know model of Walkman you have.

The model number is RS-002FM. Right now I'm more interested in how much this walkman would go for. Thanks

Ah, so you want us to help you line you're pockets, interesting.

Sadly it will cost you as much to buy the tuner unit as it would to buy the whole thing. I suggest you put it back in the drawer for another ten years.

The walkman is complete with the tuner unit. I just wanted to get a feel as to what it was worth. My husband passed away a year ago and I'm living on one income and looking to clean out some things and thought I would see if this was something I could make a few dollars on. So you think I should just put it away for another ten years? I might not be here then and what I'm afraid of is that it will end up in a yard sale and go for $2.00 or something really crazy.

OK, maybe I was a tad harsh, apologies. I only remember one similar unit which went for around $30 dollars. So, I'm afraid it won't net you a massive haul but it's a nice thing, you might want to keep it in the drawer for that reason alone Smile
