I have nine different models of the panasonic shockwave series and want to know how many different models were produced. Anyone got any information?

For those who aren't familiar with this line, Panasonic Shockwave includes mp3, cd, cd/tuner, cassette, cassette/tuner, and tuner only models. Some key aspects of this line include robust design, and high quality, rugged construction, some featuring solid all-metal build (such as the RQ-SW08V for example, a real gem indeed). Positive twist-lock mechanisms, water resistant seals, rubberized bodies and/or protectors, etc. Other features include switchable XBS, S-XBS, digital tuners/presets, backlit multi-display screens, some with animated icons, and clean, powerful audio. Single AA battery operation. Some models in the series offer in-line remote control and selectable vibration effect within the headphone set so the listener can really "feel" the music. The SW line also includes a wide range of ear-buds and headphones. Here are a few model numbers...perhaps others could add to it for you.

Not a complete list by any stretch...but I can list a few.

RQ-SW08V
RQ-SW09V
RQ-SW33VA
RQ-SW44V
RQ-SW48V
RQ-SW50
RQ-SW50S
RQ-SW99
RQ-SW99V

Thanks for your list Joe. It was you who got me started collecting Shockwave and Sony sports after your comments a year ago. Here is the list of Shockwave I have.

RQ-SW70 RQ-SW5 RQ-SW6 RQ-SW30 RQSW20
RQSW-33V RQ-SW35V RQ-SW45V RQ-SW55V RQ SW08V

Can anyone add any others to the list?

Is anyone interested in making a list of Sony sports? I can contribute a list 41 different models that I own.

I think this walkman does look too sturdy!

You're welcome zx. I'm particularly fond of the Panasonic Shockwave line, because to me, just like the RX-ES line of "Power-Blaster", wedge-style boomboxes, Panasonic have really gone all out in the design and production of personal portable audio, such as the one shown in your post. This kind of quality, craftmanship, and and performance can't be beat...and the solid feel and weight of metal in your hand is a real treat indeed, in this all plastic world!
