Another shot of the back

Yeah, this is nice, I have a white one. Based on the WM-100 architecture but with the headphones stored in the back as illustrated. The WM-51 uses good headphones too. The only Walkman I know which can use both AA & gumstick batteries in the same slot.

Yeah, get it but don't pay more than 50 bucks.

Interesting comments agent. I bought this about three months ago. Paid a bit more than 50 tho'. Performs beautifully.

Yeah, rock solid internals. Shares the same guts as the superb solar unit. These rarely go wrong. In fact, I just got a WM-109 through the post today which shares the same inards. My favourite part of the WM-51 is the hinge/cassette slot mechanism, any chance of a pic?

Hello All!

Very interesting and nice Walkman, never seen before in Mexico, after all, we know japaneses got the best in technology and sometimes some products never reach far countries. I love the mint condition of the WM, I only see this feature of a earphones in a reel in some G.E. walkmans.

Hey Agent, this is the only Walkman you know can use both AA and gumstick rechargeable battery in it? I have two Walkmans with the same feature, the WM-FX507 and the WM-FX50, both use rechargeable NiCd battery gum stick or one AA battery in the same compartment.
