Dear Walkman lovers!

I work for a London based production company called Blakeway Productions. We're making a documentary series for CCTV in China and BBC Worldwide celebrating the world's biggest brands and designs.

We want to include the Sony Walkman in the series and I'm looking for a US based Walkman fanatic/ collector who we could film with. Someone who could show us their collection and who we could interview on the great culture that the Walkman created in the US.

There is only one great walkman collector in the USA that springs to mind. Whether he wants to participate, only he can say. Hopefully he will read your request and respond.

Those S2G members who have been on here long enough, will know who that person is. But as I said, it is up to them to reveal themselves and come forward if they want. It is not our place to name names and put pressure on this member should they not wish to take part in Luc's TV documentary.

I am honored and genuinely flattered by members comments and respect for another member and his privacy.   You are truly a grand group of Gentleman.   There are many excellent collectors in the USA.  I am but one.  I have personally contacted Luc in the UK.  Told him I am energized and excited to contribute what I can with my collection and knowledge I have ( geesh until today did not realize I have 151 SONY Walkman in my collection of over 400).    I remember well those early days as I was 23 yrs old in 1980.  My first Walkman WAS a SONY ! The WM-3!

I have over 300 boxed brand new Walkman now, some of which are very rare to find.
