I need something to let me record tapes with a line in - ideas?

I'm looking for a way to make cassette tapes, and due to space limitations, I'd rather not purchase a complete cassette deck.  Can someone recommend a (hopefully higher end) device that will record from a line in input?

Sony Walkman Pro WM-D6C, i think this is what you need. It has line in / line out and microphone input too.

Excellent, that's exactly what I need.  Thanks!

WM-D6C will rival any good home cassette deck, they are excellent machines, make sure you get a good one though, repairs can be expensive and tricky

I've read that the early models are better than the later models, but most of what I'm seeing for sale appear to be later models.  Any other advice on this purchase?

The new one’s are good too.

I have 2 D6C’s one old one and a new one, the new one is the best one.

The old one have been serviced and updated by dottor walkman but I still have not had a chance to test it yet even-though I got it back months ago, sorry dottor walkman I will try it when I get a minute.

They do not seem very rare, since several are up for auction on eBay.  I'll probably pick one up shortly, once I find the right one.  Thanks.

No they are not hard to find, but good one's go for a lot of money.

Hi, Alligator!
May be Toshiba KT-R2?
