I'm looking for that 1970's era of grooving Jamican reggae funk. Hoping some of you guys have a compilation to recomend. Perferably **** that was released on old 45's that have been put up in MP3 formation by now. With out getting into the morality of peer2peer sites i'm PeteyAwol on soulseek.
Looking to groove out the parks in NYC this summer. Getting the Ipod jammed packed with the right stuff now.

i don't have any recommendation petey but I'd be interested in it too if someone else does!
I just got a bunch of awesome King Tubby rarities off usenet that are all sourced of vinyl and sound brilliant. More dub style reggae, but great stuff.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_TubbyHave a hunt around, if you can't find any I send a dvdr of all mine over (don't have the bandwidth to up that kind of volume of warez unfortunately).
Rock On.
Just went the Tubby route, I've come to realize that Dub isnt my style. Its good for what it is. But I need a litttttttle more quicker pace to it.
You should check the releases on Soul Jazz!
I´ve got some like Hustle! or Studio One Soul and they are great.
