500 GB External

enskanker - 2008-04-09 07:35

My 200 GB on my Fujitsu was about out of space for videos, so....
I just got my 500GB IOMEGA external from Amazon for $112.00 delivered.
Great Unit, had a Lacie 500 GB, stay away from those. Now I'm loaded with space to store and download my Videos.

If your looking for one....its a decent price for a new unit with free ship, from Amazon.

I hear ya, Ed. My 160GB drive was just about full of MP3s and whatnot, so I mosied on down to Circuit City a while back and picked up a 500GB Seagate SATA II (internal) for $99. It's job is dedicated storage for MP3s.

Good for you ObeseBowzer, only downside is that you actually spent money at Circuit City. My experience with them is the pits.

I also bought a 500 gb external e few months ago. I was very needed because the 40 gb on the computer vas almost full. When i had moved all the music and a few pics and movies it was 50% free. Roll Eyes

Videos is the problem as far as space, a dozen movies and a few seasons of shows and your up to 200 GB.

ned.209 - 2008-04-10 02:37

you should go for the 700meg avi vids Ens. given, the quality isnt as high but from a practical point of view theyre the way

Right you are neddy, I've accepted the lower quality when necessary.

I wanted to rewatch the entire CHINA BEACH series from the early 90's, the whole set is 30Gb, 5 seasons of SIX FEET UNDER is 50GB do that with a few shows and half a dozen old movies, (thinking I need to download Ben-Hur, Soylent Green and Planet of the Apes) and you chew it up fast.
