I lost track of his spots when I was up in NC, but caught back up in the last year in FL. Another radio fixture off to the big station in the sky.....
RIP Paul Harvey.
Very sad,he will be missed.

I remember listening to him and his little snipets/stories on a local country station way back in the early-mid 1970's(yes, I grew up listening to country and bluegrass music thanks to my mom)....and I actually took interest in his stories and always waited for his famous last words at the end...yes, He will be missed.
hey matrix,
Most of my Paul Harvey listening was mid 70's in Charlotte, NC.
Great ears listen alike I always say.

Its amazing at 42 yrs. of age, I can remember all kinds of events when I was 7-10 yrs. old, but I can't remember where I last laid my wallet from the night before! Thanks Ed for the great ear comment!

I always tried to guess who he was describing in his stories. You'd eventually find out in the end and catch yourself saying, "Wow! I never knew that". RIP Mr. Harvey.
CNN --right NOW --larry king has a great older interview with paul harvey
He was a fellow Chicagoan who used to come through the River Forest Bank drive-through when I worked there during college. A really nice guy and gentleman. And a radio idol of mine. He was the real deal.
Paul Harvey... good day!

I think I recall only one occasion that I guessed correctly out of the thousands of his stories I've heard in my lifetime.

I grew up listening to him in the late 70's early 80's. He was a permanent fixture for many years on 103 WKDF FM here in Nashville. He had a regular slot every day at noon. Indeed a wonderful man who will be missed greatly.
Larry King is still alive??
