tonight --2 of our extreme prominent s2g members came to visit -
-spud from 1500 miles away ,
and ramon from the hood came over to meet spud (joel)--
perfect florida weather --lots of fun --
tried to blow them away with both my kaboom and my big bose --but these snobby purists were more interested in the traditional old crap !!
and even more that all that --they liked their free peek at the BBDB --

well almost great, skippy ..........
confidentially --it would have been so much more fun if i had more appreciative visitors !!!
listen to these complaints :
1. not enough boxes
2. not enough chairs
3. not enough bass
4. not enough food
and then , finally they cant find enough bikini chicks on the beach --on a DARK MONDAY NIGHT
Looks like fun for all...and no splinters!
Let me get a few things straight here....
1. There was PLENTY of food. Ira's wife kept us all well fed. (Awesome home made meatball subs and fresh home-grown veggies... Then lemon poppyseed cake.... then she tried to get us to all eat chocolate bars. Heck, when Ramon was leaving she was shoving meatballs in his pockets!) (BTW Ira robbed the cradle...
)
2. The beach tour WAS lacking in babes, but it had plenty of drunk beach bums....
3. Plenty of boxes... everytime I turned to look at a box on a shelf Ira would magically produce another box from out of thin air. And he was more than willing to fire them up.
4. You could sit anywhere you wanted, but most of the time was spent standing around checking out the boxes and other things... his living room is full of goodies.
5. The woodie ride was something to behold. Nothing like having no control over a silent but deadly museum piece... traveling at top speed in the dark... with no lights... into and around traffic. The thing can stop on a dime... or rather it stops when it hits a dime, because it cannot make it over the edge.
It takes a good dose of faith and a better dose of insanity to pilot the woodie. Ira said they don't make them like they used to... I said there is probably good reason...
6. It was very cool to meet both Ira and Ramon. I wish I lived closer... they are both guys I would love to hang out with. Although I think I kept Ira up past his bedtime.
(Sorry Skippy... I tried, but Ira shipped out your box before I got there, so don't blame me when it shows up...
)
joel -- THANKS for taking all that time from your business to visit us --
for an update -- i charged up the woodie battery tonight -- and it did climb a dime --with ease !!
you may not have realized this --but young wives and meatball subs are the goals of all trailer park guys
Trailer trash guys rule. Sounds like you guys had a great time for sure..

nice pics, I was expecting to see 71spud riding a woodie station wagon
hey Ira, I'm with you on "robbing the cradle", my wife is 12 years younger then me
Only bad thing about that, she doesn't understand my fascination with the 80's, since she was born in the 80's
wish we could all try some 90's wives--
hell i would settle for a time machine i would just go back and get maryln monroe or elizibeth taylor in their prime ,yeah right huh lol.i dont think i'm their type.
Just another validation that any wood is good.
true but the older you get the better your chances of dry rot.

Unless you keep it well-oiled.
The woodie is awesome looking Ira!
Why would you want the "Rascal" when you can have a "Woodie"
It also sounds like congrats on the wife! She cooks, thats incredible in itself!
Johnny <-has to cook ALL the time or we STARVE!
thanks johnny -- there is really nothing as good as a 'trailer made' sub !!
