i think (??) last year i made a 'thinning out' post.
anyway - now would like to admit my progress
about 12 months ago --i had too many boxes --about 50 --
so - have since sold average of ONE per week -
that good - right ??
except in this same time - have acquired TWO per week !! -- have almost 100 now.
not THAT good
--------------
figured out ONE of the problems --
if, like me, we are just RANDOM collectors --
with no brand loyalty -
and no size preferences-
then --EVERY box is a consideration --
thus, we are screwed !!
-------------
SO --asking if any members have even a more successful thinning out program ????
I dont know in august I had one , and now 17 and counting
I usually stick around 20.
If I had room though, watch out,i would have a few hundred by now I'm sure.......
i have given aways about half the lesser smaller boomboxes i have.
there is still other things i would like to own but i am really picky now as for what i will buy.
I always seem to find something that i like about a box to convince myself it is cool to keep !
Then there is always the 'i will keep this one incase something happens to my other one thats exactly the same' kind of reasoning !!
Now i have to say i have let some go, but like you RBJ, i have more come in than go out !
So no successful thining out programmes from me im afraid.

Yes all very good factors ,and yet, all working together they still dont stop me from adding to my collection.
and i wouldnt have it any other way
and to prove how much self-control we all have --
look at ebay every week --and see the THOUSAND boxes that we didnt buy !!
and thus , the $$ savings
Ira...because of YOU, my wife thinks there is NO HOPE for me in the near future of giving up this hobby that we all love...and you know what...she's probably right
