we have been fortunate to have some detailed threads here about shipping safety --
packing procedures and packing materials have been well covered.
what has yet to be discussed is the important detail --about package labeling.
in order to make absolutely certain that the actual shipper cave folks will carefully respect the values of our cherished collectables--
we need to leave them specific handling instructions ::
and , of course any members who can contribute some even better labels than this --should add there suggestions here --------
Awesome label! Even better box! How does it sound??

I don't see any bbx......
man lookin at those pics makes me wish i was a boombox ,damn dude !
Actually, IMO, stuff like that will increase the risk to the box since the shipping dorks will get urked being called names and maybe toss the box around, or drop it needlessly.
LOLOL!!! That's Awesome!!!!
Shipping tip #2 for 2009. Don't ship through the U.S.P.S.!!! I'm growing older by the minute waiting for my RX5350 from Vladi.
Sorry for the thread hijack Ira.
Great looking grail and gals too!!!!
skippy --i am at least 1/2 as anxious as you are to learn how you like your big mother grail !!
has it been 10 days -- or TWO WEEKS ??

Shipped it on the 19th! I could've walked to Wisconsin in that much time - USPS must still be using doves for deliveries
And also, the girl on the left looks like someone I could totally marry - what's her credentials??
Ira--- are any of your ~ahem~ friends going to be around when I come down?
VLADI !!! her credentials are that she is 16 !!
SPUD --you need to visit on any sunny weekend
I'm thinking that i need to take my boxes out more often like Ira to get some "X"-tra play

gordIE -
you DO have the ultimate CC

but be advised that NO chick is worth taking it ou in the salt water air (if you live near it)
Ira...in case you forgot...where i live...there is MORE salt on our streets than there is in the ocean...it's CRAZY
A Gold Conion C-100 IS the ultimate boombox...period

well gordie --this next question is way 'off-topic'
but unless you made some past thread about the gold c100f ?? (link)
need to ask you :
were they for sale worldwide ?
about how many were ever produced ?
what other member(s) have them ?
and/or were they just a very limited 'promotional' issue ?

WAY off topic is an understatement
I will answer your questions to the best of my knowledge:
were they for sale worldwide ? Dunno
about how many were ever produced ? Dunno
what other member(s) have them ? Dunno
and/or were they just a very limited 'promotional' issue ? Dunno
What i DO KNOW is that this is the ULTIMATE machine...hope this helps

well gordie --
you sure are the 'world of knowledge' GO TO GUY about all this
but --just like you -
i would much rather be clueless and HAVE that box --
than be mr. know-it-all and not have one
Someone had told me years ago these gold C100's were VERY VERY limited...i even was told that they were made for the executives @ Conion/Onyko but who knows how much truth is in that. The person that told me this was a former member here...he had offered me $1500US the day i had found it in the wild.
Now, if i remember correctly...i beleive autobot84 claims to have owned a Gold Conion so he may be able to chime in with where he got his from. I remember there was also another member here from the US that had a Gold C-100 because he had posted a pic...was it his pic who knows? I had seen only 1 other Gold C-100 since i have been collecting boxes...it was a seller in Germany who was selling it but his chrome trim had ALL been painted BLACK, and it LOOKED like the casing had also been painted. His ad said it had been re-painted by a professional bodyshop because it was badly scratched up.
All i know is that i believe to be one of the few known people in the world to have one, and after i had spent a few hours a few nights ago opening it up, changing some parts and cleaning it all up it looks like a real show piece
I took a "short cut" in my above post by posting "Dunno" to your questions because i felt too lazy to have to post all of this...but because you are my buddy i figured you deserve to know what i "know" from others.
Hope this is a better response to your questions

Wow...Mrs. Ira is actually pretty cute
-gsbadbmr
the actual 'real' one is 14% cuter than that.
(or maybe 9%)
This is nothin' fellas, you should see how she reacts when he shares his Boomboxes with the Bikini Crowd
I was wondering why he had that bruise on his cheek and a slight limp when I met him in person last year.
Thanks ED for clearing that one up!

Wow Ira, you have to be careful with this stuff.
Text like that on the packing could piss off the postal service morons more and make them throw a little harder with your stuff
I like the chicks in bikini even better than your (very fine) GF 1000
This thread is awesome; bikini clad GF-1000 holders, gold conion myths and legends, hilarious packing text, great stuff.
Thanks for giving me a great read/laugh first thing in the morning guys!
Rock On.
thanks alot glue --
if old gordIE can keep up .........
