yes indeed it is dark not in a i hate everything kind of way either which is refreshing.
it sounds really good on a stereo that can handle the weird dynamics of it too.

From the last week or so it's a toss up between:
Falco - Vienna Calling
and
Michael Sembello - Automatic Man
Rock On.
can't stop listening to the Christmas songs at the moment, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc, Cole's "The Christmas Song" is my favourite one, love it.

"Theres no place like home for the Holidays"
Robert Goulet Version.

Great!! Love the Phil Spector "Be My Baby" drum riff at the beginning and throughout the song!
I'm in the Christmas mode now, too, and this year's favorite holiday song is 38 Special's
It's Christmas and I Miss You.(The homemade video mostly pays tribute to a dog, which I don't think is the intention of the song... but it works. Tugs at the heartstrings, actually.)
1. Christmas canon,by Trans-siberian orchestra.
2. Womanizer, Britney Spears.

Not a bad choice, but...
"Go down, Moses (let my people go)" has more existential angst... plus, you can dance to it. Why not give it a try?

Like Johnny Cashs "Hurt" at the moment.
very deep song and so strong in the way he covered it!!
Another favourite at the moment is:
H-Town - Knockin' da Boots
I'll start with christmas-songs once i get the christmas-feeling..that would be when i've passed my exam on wednesday
yeah the rick rubin produced cash stuff is all pretty fantastic.

Beck's Gammaray keeps ringing in my head. It's a funny mix of surf and psychedelia. That one reminds me of the '60s sound I have loved all my life.
KINGS OF LEON
"Your Sex is on Fire"
Johnny
"8 Mile" by Eminem.
The film was on TV last night, so I've made a short playlist of this track, "Lose Yourself" & "Shook Ones pt2" by Mobb Deep.
...some rare examples of good 21 century hip-hop, that isn't R'n'B based & all about cars, gold, guns, etc. (& therefore cr4p, IMHO).
I'm off to the car now to make the 15" Kicker subwoofer pump
I don't want to put my GF777 through any punishment...
I don´t know what it is right now(maybe it has something 2 do with this great forum) , but i´m into the late 80´s early 90´s music right now , and there are so many nice tunes from that era
.
But i heard a song that got me lattly and it was this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1Trt3shCfsI like those "nasty" sounding guitars and the bass is nice 2
