Okay, where in your house do you listen to music THE MOST??? Be it on a boombox on the patio, or in an dedicated audio listening area...
Show us all your favorite music spot in the house!!!
Here is where I listen to music about 75% of the time:
FYI: Larger images can be seen here (select "original" image size):
The DJ Booth
Bet you spend hours upon hours in there!
Loving it, especially that Onkyo cassette deck
What type of music are you DJ'ing?
No wonder all your recordings sound so high quality JT, thats a very serious set up! To contrast is my not very serious set up below, where most listening and everything else is done.
The Denon H-55 is providing pre-amp/monitor services for my Technics turntable, which is then recorded on my Yamaha cassette deck. The C-100F's currently recording a Flock Of Seagulls B-Sides compilation from my pc, a task usually taken by my M-70, who's job currently is to protect me from Patrick Bateman.
Rock On.

collaborate on the music selections
My listening space is everywhere
plus my kool portapro headphones!
Hey, enskaker, how about the sound of this black Sony? It's a chilhood dream, I couldn't afford it 20 years ago ...
I think enskanker's picture is kind of old. I'm not sure he has those boomboxes (or those feet) anymore.
Correct me if I'm wrong...
Old as the hills.....Boomboxes gone, feet and space still around.
Very cool...
Impressive collection of gear billpc55!
Ira, nice space!!!! But, when its as early in the AM as it was when you took that serene looking picture, isn't it just you and the other old guys out at the beach? You know, the fellas with the metal detectors?
They have on headphones and could probably care less to what you're listening to...
For what its worth, any box you take to the beach is, by far, cooler than any metal detector...
Ed, do you still have that 9595?
its only some of my stuff. i have lots of other stuff at the jam space.
JT --you are spot on re my spot
aside from a few stray overnight couples-
during the cherished moments of these sunrise scenes --it really is all old guys out there.
and they prefer to hear only the ocean rap.
---the kiddie box party starts way later
JT, peep these records I have found not too long ago. Work for the City OF NY Sanitation and i find boxes of records all the time.
List 1List 2If I got something you just let me know. I know SOME, not much of it is rare as sh*t.
**And i'm not even done with sorting thru them all yet. I got a few other boxes to go through.
Yo Petey, check your PM!
Wow Petey you've got some vinyl collection there and perfect website I'm a member there too.
Atmosphere is a great track I love it!
Since my "workshop" is packed with boxes I have had to relocate to the kitchen. LOL This is my listening space most of the time. Listening to boomers while working on others.

OCD4U Strikes again....
Just when when you thought...Babyboomer brings it back.
Must be that bus brotherhood.
a classic OCD4U reminder. Thanks!
Ira, here's a left-coast Florida winter shot for those lingering in the cold!
This was actually taken at an interstate rest area. And I've had a boombox with me here before! I'll have to take one back and reshoot this!

thanks for that nothing like the taste of vomit mixed with coffee first thing in the morning.
JT --admitting that your sunset coast is usually less harsh and more picturesque than my sunrise coast

Baby Boomer, that picture just reminded me of those Police Academy movies

I won't admit to any of that Tom Foolery happening in MY academy.
That pic just reminded me of the movie "The Full Monty"
GF-919 looks like a minibox in this pic

Great shots Fuzz & Oldskool! Thanks for sharing!
Freddie, did you get moved out of the basement?
In that picture of your cassettes, I think recognize that Maxell MS-90... Isn't that the one I gave you at last years meet?
You need to pop that sucker into your beefy looking Pioneer CT-F950 and pump those Sansui speakers up with some Digweed!!!
Moved out? No way! That's where I want to be...The BASSment. Actually a renovation in stasis. Now that my neice and great nephew have gone, we are working to regain the money spent to support them while here. And then of course, we'll complete it.
And the system has gotten high on some "Digweed".

Oh My Gourd!! Oldschool you rule!!
That's kind of how I use to have some of my bedroom set-up when I was a teeenager at home.
Very cool set-up!
I will have to use some of your ideas in my new set-up when I move.
I might use different color lights and I'm getting a new table for all my stereo components and for boxes as well.
Here's my temporary listening area-the M70JW has been replaced by the 767!
Have a great one-GB.
