brutus442 - 2012-09-30 13:45
Great choice Litfan!
Del you've got brilliant taste as well brother, I can feel the 80's again!
I'd like to throw a link into this thread as a fav of mine from the 80's....I loved all rock, but really found some Canadian bands to be at the top of their game, namely prog rockers Saga and Rush.
Here's my all time fav song from the 80's
...and both bands are still touring today. I show the old SAGA because Steve Negus was still on the skins then...
deliverance - 2012-09-30 13:50
yeah brutus some great music in the eighties some crap to.
lav.loo - 2012-09-30 13:51
i gotta jump in here and say british and us rock bands ruled
US bands
guns n roses
bon jovi
van halen
aerosmith and many more...
UK bands
whitesnake
def leppard
queen
thin lizzy
deep purple and many more....
brutus442 - 2012-09-30 13:52
....... some crap to.
That's an entirely new thread itself!
deliverance - 2012-09-30 13:57
your right there arron top front men to.
brutus442 - 2012-09-30 14:04
can't agrue Lav with your list, I found though a lot of the glam rock sounds from the US never appealed to me. The UK though had it happening.
I will say this...I can't think of a better voice/ frontman combo than Freddy Mercury. Jagger, Daltrey, Bono...don't hold a candle to this man IMHO
RIP Freddy....
bison - 2012-09-30 14:13
lav.loo - 2012-09-30 14:14
yeah freddy was something else, the diversity of queens music was astounding.
elo and 10cc were both great bands too, when we talk about the likes of queen ect we seem to forget about the lesser well known but great bands.
lav.loo - 2012-09-30 14:16
