Used to have this 1978 Truck ( One just like it almost ) about 15 years ago...

nak.d - 2013-04-14 16:21

Like the shots, they look great. Did you use any camera tricks to alter the colour/lighting? Some cool, subtle effects going on there. And 6 bucks for bisto? What's in it...Saffron?

claret.badger - 2013-04-14 16:26

some hipstagram/instagram apps for post processing

i've bought an old Nikon F4 and 10 rolls of TRIX b&w film - so will be doing more stuff soon

Oh that - it was a most excellent snide retort to a friends pic

I am the antithesis to his media designer world

What is it that makes America rubbish? We fund so many other countries and are in debt because of it. The only reason America can be rubbish is due to the fact that we have a shit president and we keep our noses up every other country's asses but honestly I take offense to the post title America being rubbish. This forum is for Boomboxes, not to knock my country......well my country at the moment until I hopefully move to UK and reserve my job at BBC Radio One!

Don't take it as offense Joey  Badger wanted to get more attention to his pictures.

Would you read the topic named as "badger's photography"?

But in this case, everyone is curious, what's it all about.

joeybinky - 2013-04-16 10:42

Then in that case alright, but yes, I would have been glad to view his photo's if it was titled Badgers Photos. They are great photo's under any title, but just not to knock anyone's country.  All is forgotten   Originally Posted by metad:

joeybinky - 2013-04-16 15:24

it's all cool. HA ha Radio One is kinda rubbish at times I have to admit! I'm not offended anymore now that it was explained. Badgers pics really do have some great cars though. I love a classic car and he got some nice ones here.  Originally Posted by radio raheem:

I've never really seen a can of beans over $2 here. Where are you located? The gas prices, I agree, are absolutely insane, $4 for a gallon of gas? THAT is complete rubbish!

joeybinky - 2013-04-19 10:13

Hello Rachael love, it's 4.35 for gas here today. I've had enough. It's time to buy a horse!    Originally Posted by rjkwerty:

dogtemple - 2013-04-19 10:23

just paid £1.40 per litre for petrol today, or gas... despite it being a liquid.

that works out at $9.65 a gallon!

i would even resort to calling it gas if we could get it USA cheap

claret.badger - 2013-04-19 10:54

Only Heinz imported beans are worth eating

American beans are full of poison

actually most US food is full of bad for you rubbish and should be avoided at all costs

HFCS, MSG, Gelatine and saturated fats are really terrible things

Luckily Heinz has just released SIMPLY HEINZ ketchup - without HFCS - but it's still much sweeter than the UK version

I used my Supermarket card and got petrol for 3.25 a gallon yesterday

I once had a choc bar someone bought back from the states (I think it was a Hershey bar). Do Americans know how much is too much when it comes to sugar?

joeybinky - 2013-04-19 10:58

I'm disgusted with the rape at the pump here along with the tolls to pay at bridges. It is true highway robbery. I drive a motorcycle though. What used to cost me under 3 dollars to fill the tank when I first bought it, now costs 13 dollars. I'm seriously considering the H20 hydrogen converter for fuel on Ebay. If I convert it to run on water, it would be so much better. I'd be able to pull over at any convenience store and buy a bottle of water or even look for a garden hose. I heard even urine would work in a hydrogen fuel converter.  Originally Posted by Dogtemple:

you realise you get fuel ridiculously cheap in the usa?  why complaining?

walkgirl - 2013-04-19 12:04

Here €1.80 per liter!!!

joeybinky - 2013-04-19 12:31

Do you really think it's cheap? It's not. And with the price going up, the cost of food is getting un affordable too. It's not worth any more than 90 cents per gallon. Any time someone farts over here, it gets higher and higher. The most it's been was about 7.50 a gallon. That's more than a gallon of milk. This country is corrupt. That's why I complain. dogtemple - 2013-04-19 13:52

yeah i think it is cheap, very cheap! its more than half the amount we pay for fuel in uk and europe.

it costs over double what you pay.

would you rather pay $10 a gallon like we do?

you shouldnt complain, you have it easy!

rjkwerty - 2013-04-19 14:03

I'm only saying gas prices based on my experience. Gas used to only be about $2 a gallon. I find that a lot of American food is, yes, filled with preservatives and all that nasty stuff, but I only buy the fresher stuff that I can get my hands on. Europe is very conscious of its environment, which may explain the gas prices, also, many places in Europe are urban as opposed to rural. I live in a very rural part of the US and I have to drive every day to get to where I need, because it's not close enough to walk. The nearest gas station is about 10 miles away from where I live.

joeybinky - 2013-04-19 14:38

You really pay that much for a gallon? That's insane. Why doesn't everyone just protest those prices? It's not worth any more than 90 cents or Pence or whatever it's called there. That's disgusting to take advantage of the people this way with these prices. Originally Posted by Dogtemple:

mitchelljames - 2013-04-19 14:46

I cant speak for other countries but in the UK its the TAX that the goverment puts on the fuel that makes it so expensive. I think its around 50/60%??.

Oh, and we pay road tax on top of that but thats another story

claret.badger - 2013-04-19 19:54

it's 75% duty on fuel in UK

Americans have experienced insane inflation on their "gas" prices in the last  10 years - so they have a right to moan

the distance between cities and size of their surrounding countryside for example and the size of their engines is reason enough for them to have cheap "gas" - heck, it'd take me 6 hours in 3 directions of the compass to get out of this here state!

NY is a 20 hour drive

please remember to adjust calculations for the smaller US gallon (3.8L as opposed to a full fat UK gallon of 4.5l)

hth

US food is over sweet or over salty

conversley - when an American eats in UK he will undoubtably claim our food too bland

and I now know why - their palates have been fried

spoofington - 2013-04-19 20:44

I'm positive european autos get way better fuel mileage than American cars. That should equate to a more even price on fuel costs, overall? Just recently, American cars are now required better fuel mileage, than previous. 30mpg is more common than the 12-19mpg in the 70s-90s. My $.02

walkgirl - 2013-04-19 21:13

You say New york is 20 hours away!, Madrid and Rome are also about 20 hours away from here!, yet I do not go there, because I have no bussiness there!

Mmmm, just do not travel so much there, that is what I do!
