Just got a Sony D-181 Discman.

Has anyone else heard of or used this model before?

It has no ESP, even though it's from 1998 but has resume play and line-out for a basic Discman model from that year

At the last flea i recognised how many discman´s are there around. But nobody buys them. Because the most ones, does´nt eat MP3!
Nice to see anybody collecting them...

The GRV sound setting on the D-181 can be found on other models:eg D-E700 series and enhances the sound better than MB (MEGA BASS).

There's a small window in the top tha lets you see the CD spinning-a nice touch.

Also, according to the service manual for D-181, it wasn't available in the USA-only, Australia/Canada/Asia/Europe
