Remote for Sony D-777 Discman wanted

Hi - I just acquired a Sony D-777 Discman that was missing the LCD remote. If one of you guys has an extra one, let's talk! Thanks

What you require is an RM-DM28EL. It's the square remote.

Or if you want to use normal 3.5mm headphones with it you want a slightly newer (from D-885) RM-DM32EL.

Thanks for the info - I looked in a service manual for the d-777 and it said the remote was an RM-DM20L (Sony part #895262800) -do you think any of these would work the same with the d-777?

Should do. They all have the flat plus round 3.5mm connector at the player end. THe displays are different shapes but the functions are the same.

I know it's over a long period of time, but I wanted to check in if the RM-CD12EL is also compatible with the D-777? Remotes from this era are sparse now and without buying and trying it seems hard to find any of the ones mentioned above.

I'd seek out the RM-DM32EL as mentioned by NickFish given the 3.5mm stereo jack but I've had no luck locating one thus far.

Any help is appreciated.
