trying to put a new amp in the boombox

its a very small amplifier i want to use and maybe i can get this in a boombox.. i juat want to know how can i get 6 amps to power this thing. i know it requires 12v but how can i get 6 amps?

Perhaps you will need to change the BBX transformer, same voltage but more amperage.

You wont need 6 amps to make it work. If you hook it to 12v @ 6 amps it would likely blow the stock speakers anyway. Just use the power supply within the radio. Should be sufficient.

i forgot to mention i put new 300 watt speakers in there..

Some switching amps amd transformed cupled output eats current in order to increase oput voltage swing.
