i am struggling with this on a vz 2000

started work on another one of my vz2000 this eve,,it has a stylus that refuses to touch the record,, everything works ,cue , side a ,side b etc etc , but the solenoid drops the stylus to the record then the solenoid almost imediatly takes it off again ,,

any ideas anyone ???

It could be the switch underneath that stops the record playing if you pick up the boombox?

I had a check and I am sure the switch is fine as the record spins ok and stops when you pick the unit up . I am sure it has to be something simple . I will look into it further .
Hope to get a few more suggestions .

Love those VZ-2000`s!
Sounds like it has something to do with the stop or cueing feature button for the player, it may need adjusting when the solenoid drops the tonearm , the stop or cueing feature is telling it to lift off.. sounds like a simple adjustment to me, just my $0.02
