Passive Low Pass Filter

samsnite - 2010-03-20 02:06

Hello guys! Does anyone out there have any experience of building own passive low pass filters? I am in the progress of building my third DIY boombox in a Monacor SUB20 box. Like this one. I am using the 2x4ohm bass speaker for low frequencies so now i want to cut out the highs from it. Any idea what components i should use to get a cutoff frequency of about 150Hz? Or is it too low? Does not have to be that steep curve. I'm using an ordinary Pioneer CD/RDS car radio for source and amplifier (4x45w). Alpine 6,5" 2-way for main speakers.
