i have to refoam the speakers on my jvc pc3.
i have had it for a while now and the foam disintergated over the first couple hours of this boombox pumping aways.
this boombox is really quite nice and very well made.
so has anyone done this on this model before.
how hard was it.
should i just make some cloth surrounds i have looked online and there is some lowtech instructions for cloth surrounds.
i dont really want to change the speakers i dont know if any thing out there would be as good. well if anyone has done this box before or has any tips tricks or other info let me know.

Should be a piece of cake and foam surrounds should be available. Smile

Let me know if you find a source of PC-3 and/or PC-5 replacement surrounds. I need to do this too. I have replaced 10" and 12" woofer surrounds myself with success. I also replaced the center caps so I could shim out the cone. I don't know if I will do that for these....

JvcFloyd did a set of woofers for me on my Aiwa CS880. They sounded and looks awesome when he finished them. Big Grin Nod Yes

still waiting for the surrounds.

Here is a good site for speaker foam replacement. I used them to replace the foam surrounds on a pair of 12" Infinity bookshelf speakers I have and it was easy and the speakers sound like new and are cranking out loud music again! Hope this helps. Smile

i`ve refoamed my 2 pc5`s myself,its a bit fiddly but i`m confident you`ll do it..
i repaired mine with rubber surrounds,so i dont have to worry about future problems..my advice is,if you are going to keep it,you should do the same and try and find rubber ones..
good luck,i hope you do it,the pc3 is a nice box,i`ve had a few myself..nice quality machine
