Hi comrades, I found on flea a little JVC 4907LS mono box in mint conditions.
Everything works but wen I press the play button from the speaker come only squeak sound, anyone know what is wrong?

Just kidding-A good clean-up and lube the parts that need some lubricant and that should hopefully work.

It´s an National Panasonic RF5310 if i right remember?

Also try puting in a blank tape and pushing down on the play/record button a few times, possibly with a little lubricant, and then try playing a tape.
This has worked for me before.

The inside slider for recording (on the board)was very dirty.
I was sprayng the slider with contact lubricant (for car contact), and now work GREAT.
Thanks guys for suggestions, i solved the problem.
