first, depends upon the size of the driver's being painted.

2nd. any paint applied will reduce the frequency responce of the driver - making the surface area heavier - harder to drive - needing more power for same sound.

3rd. applying to woofer's will probally stiffen the cone for better bass repsonce but depending upon the size of the woofer's voice coil - may rip the vc from the cone with too much sound applied, as the vc and cone conifiguration wasnt designed for the heavier weight, as it now may have after the painting.

4th. lightly sprayed upon may not make much difference by being a lighter coating, just depend's upon how heavy the paint is relative to the size of the driver.

5th. intial thoughts above

replace the woofers with newer driver's - preferably car speakers @ 4 ohm's I like the Infinity brand of the componet speakers, We  just dont use their tweeter's ..

radio.raheem - 2011-07-31 12:45

That's to of us needing speakers...james can you try and find me some good ""6 low impedance speaker that i can buy thanks...

radio.raheem - 2011-07-31 12:51

Dave you could try 4 of these mate but there 8ohm also you will need to upgreade your tweeters....the 1000 family arn't known best for their clarity dave.
