ref sharp vz 2000e problems

neil - 2012-05-07 10:19

Hi

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a sharp vz 2000 problem that I still have

The record player plays fine for about 20 seconds and then refuses to play the rest of the record ,this is the same for both a and b selection.I have tried changing the drive belt

but this has had no effect what so ever, any suggestions gratefully recieved.

I have also just purchased a second one which is mint with all sliders which plays very well

the problem with this seems to be that the treble and bass sliders dont seem to alter the

sound at all and there seems to be no sound coming from one of the speakers ,again

any ideas about these issues would be fantastic

Regards Neil

Digging up an old thread here but ..

I just found out a problem with these units. Mine had no sound at all but everything worked. Turns out all the sliders fail internally. They have two metal legs inside that are plastic welded onto the main bracket and they just break off. If you take the unit apart and desolder each slider and take them apart carefully you will see.

I reattached my pins and sound came out You will need to glue them into place. The reason for no sound on my unit was the Balance slider had broken.

Cheers
