At Tuesday i got my personal grail.
I ever wanted an big Discolite.
No special label, only 2 points:
BIG
MANY LED´s


Last time at the flea i found the nice INTERNATIONAL i posted.
Nice, but too small.

And while looking in the net i found something awesome for me.
An LEVIS 161 Jumbo with Discolite!
It should go to ebay, but i contacted the owner and told him to get it before.
So i drove to Graz (~170km outside Vienna) and there was it.
The seller (woman)was an owner of electronic store many years before. When she closed, she took the rest of his depot and stored it at home many years. This box was never played before.
She owns a lot of other new old stock electronics as well.
Now they needs the place otherwise.

Monos, Doubledecker-Stereos.... an an second Discolite!
It´s a small doubledecker with detachabler speakers. Never heard of MEKOSONIC before.
No question, i must get it too.

I think this will be my new christmas tree.
The quality of this 90´s boxes is not very high. Look at the faking double slided equalizer, the cheap plastic, the faked 2nd VU-meter left at the Mekosonic.
But this fits to them.
Real discokids of the last period of boomboxing...

It was great luck to find them.
I also took 2 "new" oldies.

An speaking pyramide clock:


The voice is unbelieveable.
Like a cinese woman, who has eaten an frog!
Typical for the first speaking electronics.

Second was an old speakerset for carradio.
It fits perfectly to my 1996er LADA!


Too sad, that the pictures can not imagine, how it looks, when all lights of the discotower are flashing.

The other new old electronic she stored, are also lovely.
Speaking calculators, translation machines (eastern languages), watches, hairdryers and many more.
Also mono boomers and little SEG doubledeckers.

@gluecifer: I´ve never heard an HyperBass, but the DiscoLite sounds nice. Not so powerful like high quality systems,but ok.

Hi Brian!
If you have seen it at austria ebay - yes!
But it was only a few hours online, before it was taken out!

The sound is quiet nice, but not compareable with an high quality boomer.
But it comes to Helix, Lasonic, Crown and other ones in this categorie.
But it looks nicer!

Na this on was in the US and now that I think about it I think it was a Cougar brand ? the guy had another box that didn't have the original packaging (maybe a TRC-975 ?) Anyway you are one lucky man really nice score congrats Roman !

Wooooo yeah! LEDs are awesome. We need more boxes with more LEDs!!! Everything should have more LEDs on it!

Now i got a baby-disco too!
It´s not a real boombox, it owns no tape.
Instead of it, there is a tiny rippled plexiglass with a 5 LED VUmeter inside.
Also 8 LEDs in the speakers.
The quality is ultracheap, but for 1 euro new in box - OK!
