Always loved Pioneer's styling with boomers; classy & expensive looking.

When I designed my 'perfect' boombox (we all did that, right?  ) I based my design on these.

Also, that the first boomer I've seen take Nine D-cells.

IMHO I think Pioneer has THE best designs for boomboxes. The look great on the street and in the living room.

That said...I will take a minty SK-95 if anyone wants to donate one

I just came up on a SK-550 myself today

breakbeatfanatik - 2013-06-13 13:08

Does anyone know how fix the SK -550. I just got one and was forced to take it in to a shop since I coudn't, for the life of me, open it up. The guy at the shop said he couldn't fix it. The cassette door will not open and it is stuck on play. Even when playing radio, the tape is turning. So obviously the belts are ok but it is stuck on play and door wont open.

Any help? Southern Cali people that help?
